SIGNIFICANCE OF ANNADANAM

 Annadanam Samam Danam Trilokeshu Na Vidhathe – a verse from Vedas, meaning Annadanam is supreme and incomparable to any charity. Food is the basic requirement for all humans. According to Vedas, the one who does annadanam to devotees attains heaven (Punya Lokam) in this life itself (Piravi).

Annadanam is performed at the temple on the occasion of religious festivals like KALOUTSAV , RAMANAVAMI, HANUMANT JAYANTI, VASANTUTSAV. During these festivals,  thousands of devotees are attending Annadanam. This is a tradition being followed since the temple was established 1912 AD.

Sponsoring Annadanam is a wonderful way of celebrate Birthdays, Anniversaries and other momentous occasions with the community, by making your offering to SHREE SHANTADURGA first and sharing with the devotees present. The Prist will perform Archana in the sponsor's name after abhisheka.
